Creamy spinach orzo | quick & delicious

Creamy, delicious and easy to make, this spinach orzo is the perfect lunch or dinner when you're in a hurry.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 gr orzo pasta
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 300 gr frozen spinach or fresh spinach
  • 1 small onion ca. 50 gr
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • tsp nutmeg
  • 100 ml Hafersahne
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp tahin

  • Hefeflocken

Instructions
 

  • Cook Orzo pasta according to package directions.
  • Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion into small pieces. Press garlic with the help of a garlic press.
  • Preheat a medium frying pan over medium heat and add sunflower oil, onion and garlic. Sauté for approx. 1-2 min. stirring occasionally.
  • Add the frozen spinach to the pan and let it thaw while stirring regularly. Then stir in the oat cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper and soy sauce.
  • Drain the cooked orzo noodles and add them to the pan. Let everything cook together in the pan for a few minutes. If necessary, season and add more oat cream.
  • Finally, mix in tahini and optionally add or garnish with yeast flakes. Enjoy your meal!
